Ruby 2M

Ruby is an outstanding performance glider that is suitable for the expert or the sport pilot. The Ruby is manufactured from the finest materials, making it possible to achieve a light flying weight. The model has remarkable flying characteristics and is extremely stable in flight but is also highly maneuverable. Large surfaces provide great control and sensitivity for accurate landings.

The use of CAD/CAM technology has optimized the model design and accurate CNC aluminum molds gives strict accuracy in the layup. Model is painted in the molds and has high quality glossy finish that is resistant to scratches. The two-piece wing ensures the model is easy to transport. Wing is made to the highest criteria and has an elliptical plan form with curved tips. The overall wing is a very strong all glass molded GFC sandwich with CFC joints and carbon CFC spars.

The wing spars are optimized for the best possible performance. Their unique lightweight design delivers high bending and torsion strength and stiffness. The wing spar has a box cross-section with belt and webbing thickness varying along the wing span. The spars are made completely out of carbon in high strength epoxy matrix and formed as a one-piece part in custom metal moulds. Wing is is vacuum molded - PVC sandwich, with carbon spars inside. We use the best PVC material - HEREX for the sandwich in wing and stabilizer. When in sandwich, HEREX has the same strength and rigid as ROHACELL. You can glue HEREX with cyanoacrilat (CA).  The flaps and ailerons are precut and finished   

Fuselage is made of carbon-kevlar mix in a metal moulds with pressure from inside. The fuselage is painted in the moulds and has high quality, glass/carbon reinforced layup. The a canopy opening is large and comfortably fits all your RC equipment.
