Bhyon 3.2

Imported from Italy, this is a smooth flying, highly aerobatic, high energy retaining sport sailplane. Designed with a thin, modern, 9% thick airfoil section and generous wing area, the Bhyon excels in lighter slope or thermal lift conditions. The trailing edge can be cambered up or down to suit lift conditions. Molded using state-of-the-art materials and techniques for a beautiful finish with outstanding quality.

The Bhyon can be modified for electric power as the all-molded fuselage is fiberglass reinforced with carbon fiber and Kevlar in high stress areas. The canopy is a beautiful clear, scale like one that begs for a pilot bust. The horizontal stabilizer is carbon reinforced fiberglass and the rudder is hollow molded fiberglass. The cockpit base is fiberglass with plywood servo base.

Two layup options are available: The “Glass” version has fiberglass wing skins, carbon spar and reinforcement, and a lower price point. The Glass version has a flying weight of approximately 5.8 kg  (204.6 oz) The Carbon version weighs in RTF at about 6.5 kg (229 oz) Airfoil details: at the root: 350mm chord, 9% thick, camber 1.7%; at the tip: 150mm chord, 8% thick, 1.4% camber.
