Glasflugel 304 3.1-3.6-Meter 1:4.8 Scale Sailplane

This is a true 1:4.8-scale, composite-molded Glasflügel 304, a model of a sailplane which was introduced in the late 1970s. Our model retains all the same great flying properties and versatility of its full-size counterpart.

The full-size Glasflügel 304 is very popular among competitive soaring pilots due to its versatility: flown with winglets, it flies in the 15-meter FAI class; flown with wing tips, it is flown in Germany in the 18-meter class. Our model gives you the same two-tip choice--two models for the price of one, you could say!

The cockpit comes factory custom equipped, i.e., it has an upholstered molded seat, upholstered side panels, control levers, a control panel, microphone and map. The wing is a molded composite, balsa and fiberglass sandwich. The wing spar consists of fiberglass roving and carbon fiber. The attachment to the fuselage is via the extension of the wing spar and secured by a pin, just the way it is in the full-size sailplane. The model is equipped with ailerons and flaps, which together work as flaperons, air brakes and retractable landing gear. The Glasflügel 304 comes equipped with winglets and can be custom equipped with wing tips and air tow release mechanism. The model has the original true scale sailplane graphics applied.

With basic equipment, the Glasflügel 304 requires seven (7) servos, i.e., elevator, rudder, ailerons, flaps, airbrakes and retractable landing gear. One (1) extra servo is required for the operation of the airtow release mechanism. Give us a call or e-mail us with any ordering or technical questions, we'll be happy to help you make the right glider and equipment choices.
