The GliderCG is a center of gravity (CG) digital balance device that provides you with the exact information of where the CG is located on the sailplane and also provides information of the sailplane's total weight.

The GliderCG Scale is the biggest Center of Gravity balancer designed for models from 200g to 40kg/88lbs. The stability of the larger models is guaranteed by wider and longer aluminum baseframe, though it can handle smaller models of 500 grams or less by the use of sliding rear supports. With a fixed width of 310mm, GliderCG Scale allows you to move the rear support points to fit virtually any wing size from small models like F5J, F3F, F3J, to larger models, like GPS or big scale birds. Like our proven GliderThrow system, the data can be viewed through any web browser on a smartphone, Android or iOS, PC or MAC.

Using four load cells eliminates the torsional stress in the sensing planes of the cells and avoids bouncing of the airframe while sitting during measurements. By using four load cells the machine can also calculate the centre of gravity of the model in the lateral axis giving extra information for accurate centering and balancing of the glider. The geometry of the measuring device is constant and need no extra settings than the tare of the cells, which is automatically performed upon power on.

Simply place the sailplane on the scale and obtain it's CG without trying to balance it on your fingers or mark the wings to supporting them on precarious structures. Once the sailplane is placed on the scale, you can vary the CG easily by adding or subtracting nose weight or by moving equipment like the receiver or motor battery. The real time CG information allows you to optimize the placement of gear while building and to mark and calibrate the CG position for initial test flights. The data is shown on the digital OLED display or can be viewed via Wi-Fi on your phone or other digital device.
