Vinky F5K Electric Glider

Our Vinky is specifically designed for FAI F5K model competitions and is optimized to find the best solutions for this kind of competition. The Vinky is easy to transport and use because we have chosen a 2 piece, 4 servo wing solution that make it easy to pack for travel to any competition or local flying field.

We have based our wing on the Synergy airfoils from Gerald Taylor to create a model with great performance potential. Our first goal was to achieve a really good sink rate in thermal conditions but keeping "good legs" to cover big spaces and to escape from the bad air.

The polyhedral wing with 4 servos in the wing (ailerons and flaps) make it perfect for thermal flight and better than a centre dihedral wing with flaperons. The flying surfaces are actuated by 6g servo class we strongly recommend the MKS 75 or Chaservo HV06. Elevator and rudder are operated by pull springs.

The Vinky parts are solid Rohacell cores built with carbon spread fabric in aluminum moulds cured at high temperatures. This makes all the parts light and stiff and also ensures a really good surface quality.
All versions includes a vertical shear web spar made in carbon fibre with improves the durability and rigidity.

The fuse is built in HM carbon which makes the part extremely light and strong. The nose of the fuse is built in fiberglass to make it 2,4 Ghz friendly. Spinner and more are integrated perfectly at the nose, avoiding any parasitic resistance, we recommend you the CN-Models Combo.

All the hardware that you will need to assemble your plane is included: Servo tray, Servo covers,  Pushrods, horns, Steel strings and springs for tail surfaces. All the machining involved in building your Vinky are factory made, so, you only need to glue some parts with CA or Epoxy. The Vinky also includes a set of custom protective wing bags.
